October 2025: Going Beyond Borders

October changed something for us.

Every month, we sort through feeding photos from our volunteers. But this month, we opened our inbox to find something we didn't expect: photos from Romania.

Maria and David reached out in September. They'd been feeding street dogs in their city for months, using their own money, with no support. When they found Project Paw Print, they asked if we could help them keep going.

We said yes.

What Your Support Made Possible This Month

This month, feeding operations happened in two countries. Houston, where we started. And now Romania, where Maria and David walk streets we've never seen, helping dogs we'll never meet in person.

In October, 373 dogs ate. 280 in Houston and Dallas. 93 in Romania.

The dogs in these photos don't know they're part of something bigger. They don't know that someone halfway across the world bought a bracelet that funded their meal. But they know this: today, they didn't go hungry.

That's what this community does. It crosses borders. It connects strangers. It turns small actions into real impact.

A Special Thank You to Maria and David

Maria and David don't have fancy equipment. No branded shirts or official vehicles. Just two people with backpacks, walking the same routes every week, making sure the forgotten dogs of Romania get fed.

They send us photos after every feeding run. Dogs eating on cobblestone streets. Puppies huddled together near old buildings. A three legged dog who waits for them at the same corner every Thursday.

"These dogs have no one else," Maria wrote us. "Thank you for making it possible to keep showing up for them."

Behind the Scenes

Our feeding operations still aren't glamorous. Whether it's Houston, Dallas or Romania, it looks the same: volunteers, food, and dogs who've learned to survive on scraps.

Some dogs run toward the food the moment they see our volunteers coming. Others stay back, watching from a distance, still learning that these humans mean help, not harm.

In Houston, one of our volunteers found a mom nursing puppies behind an abandoned warehouse. Too weak to move. Too protective to let anyone near at first.

It took three visits before she let our volunteer get close enough to leave food within reach. By visit five, she was eating while our volunteer sat nearby. The puppies are getting stronger.

In Romania, David told us about an old dog with cloudy eyes who can barely see anymore. But he knows the sound of David's footsteps. When David arrives, the dog's tail starts wagging before David even speaks.

These moments don't make headlines. But they matter. God, do they matter.

We're not a massive organisation with big budgets. We're people who care, connected to other people who care, all working together to help dogs who have nothing.

What November Looks Like

We're talking to volunteers in two more cities who want to join this mission. If funding allows, we'll be expanding even further.

More locations. More dogs fed. More proof that when people come together, we can actually change things.
