Why We Send Monthly Photos
Why We Send Monthly Photos
You might have noticed that we send monthly photos from our feeding operations.
We wanted to explain why.
The Question We Kept Hearing
When we started Project Paw Print, we kept hearing the same thing from people:
"How do I know my support actually helps?"
That stuck with us.
It's a fair question. When you care about a cause, you want to feel connected to the impact. You want to see what happens after you click 'buy' or 'donate.'
We thought about how we could answer that question in the most direct way possible.
The Decision We Made Early On
So we made a choice from the beginning: every person who supports us should see where that support goes.
Not a corporate update.
Not a stock photo.
Actual photos from actual feeding runs.
Dogs eating. Volunteers on the ground. Real locations. Real moments.
Every month.
Is It Extra Work?
Yes.
Coordinating with local partners. Collecting photos. Organizing them. Sending them out. It takes time and effort that we could skip if we wanted to.
But we think it matters.
Because when you see a dog eating from a bowl your purchase helped fill, it stops being abstract. It becomes real. You're not just trusting that something happened somewhere - you're seeing it.
That changes everything.
What You Actually Receive
If you've purchased from Project Paw Print, here's what to expect:
Monthly emails with photos from recent feeding sessions. Not the same recycled images - fresh photos from ongoing operations.
Real locations, real dogs. Some photos are rough. The lighting isn't always perfect. That's because they're taken in the field, not in a studio.
No guilt, no pressure. These updates aren't designed to make you feel bad or push you to buy more. They're simply proof that your support made a difference.
Why Transparency Matters to Us
We know there are many ways to help animals. Shelters, rescue organizations, local volunteers - they all do incredible work, often with limited resources.
What we wanted to offer was something specific: a way to support feeding operations AND see the results, month after month.
Monthly photos are our way of keeping that connection alive. Here's what's happening. Here's where your support went. Judge for yourself.
The Dogs Don't Know Your Name
The dogs we feed don't know who you are. They don't know about bracelets or necklaces or websites.
But they know that on certain days, food appears. That someone, somewhere, cared enough to make sure they didn't go hungry.
That someone is you.
The monthly photos are our way of connecting those two realities. The choice you made in Houston, Texas. The dog eating in Mumbai, India. The person who cared. The life that changed.
What Makes Us Different
Most charitable organizations send annual reports. Maybe quarterly updates. Some send nothing at all.
We send photos every single month.
Not because we have to. Not because anyone's forcing us. But because we believe you deserve to see the impact of your support in real time.
When Brett and Susan started Project Paw Print, they made a promise to themselves: never ask people to trust blindly. Always show the work.
That's what these photos represent.
Thank You for Trusting Us
We know there are many ways to support animals - and all of them matter. Whatever path people choose to help, it makes a difference.
You chose us. And you trusted us to do what we said we'd do.
We don't take that lightly.
So every month, when we sit down to put together those photo updates, we're thinking about you. The person who decided to believe in this. The person who wanted to help but also wanted to see it happen.
This is us keeping that promise.
A Note About the Photos Themselves
You'll notice the photos aren't perfect. Sometimes the lighting is off. Sometimes they're blurry. Sometimes the dogs are moving too fast to get a clean shot.
That's intentional.
We could stage better photos. We could use professional photographers. We could make everything look polished and perfect.
But that wouldn't be real.
These are photos taken by volunteers during actual feeding runs. They're rushed. They're imperfect. They're authentic.
And that authenticity is exactly why they matter. These aren't marketing images. They're documentation. Proof of work done.
What Customers Say
One customer wrote to us: "I keep every email. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day, I go back and look at the photos. It reminds me that I did something that mattered."
Another said: "My daughter asks to see the dog pictures every month. She's seven. She understands that her bracelet feeds dogs, and she can see them eating. That connection is everything."
This is what we were hoping for when we started sending these updates. Not just transparency. Connection.
Want to See for Yourself?
Every bracelet and necklace from our collection directly funds feeding operations across five countries. And yes - you'll get the photos.
Every month. Without fail.
Because we believe that when you choose to help, you deserve to see exactly what that help looks like.
